The following image shows an easy to remember way of remembering Pre-eclampsia and Superimposed Pre-eclampsia.

 

The difference is basically in the definition of Gestational Hypertension and Chronic Hypertension. When the hypertension is associated with Proteinuria, the condition is called Pre-eclampsia or Superimposed Pre-eclampsia based on the type of Hypertension.

 

Making a forumula of the Physiological or Pathological process or conditions helps to remember the matter easily and also ease the revision process…below is an example.
